An important topic for discussion. I'm also seeing the gig-economy evolve to include so many highly-skilled /trained knowledge workers – attorneys, physicians, and the like. And with AI displacing *portions* of the work completed by these types of professionals, I think we'll see more and more of this in the coming years.

I’m seeing this across so many professions now and am watching a couple generations of the workforce struggle about what to do while younger generations jump right in while their entry level positions are drying up. I really appreciated your writing about the barbell effect a few weeks back. It made me think about what was happening in my profession (medicine) and many others in which I coach. Following your work closely.
Agreed. And the professions are not immune and maybe even more at risk than other types of work. And the younger folks entering them will either invent a new way of approaching this or get chewed up. I’m an optimist and I’m counting on them. My generation needs to see this and both support them and take heart in them. That’s the work I’m hoping to be supporting.
